Women's Appreciation Month Update: Educate Our Girls
Update:
This week, our team visited the town in Ondo State, Nigeria where our founders grew up.
We traveled through the thick forests to see some of the hardest working women on the planet.
This is our appreciation post for them and the work they do in driving some of the biggest industries in the global market.
In sub-Saharan Africa, 60-80 percent of girls live in rural areas; in some countries…where poverty, abuse, and tradition limit their opportunities. (Center for Global Development)
Awomi Naturals is dedicated to creating opportunities to fund education for young girls who are considered last priority when families are deciding which children should be enrolled in school. We seek to sow the seeds of education & leadership for young girls throughout West Africa because we were once them.
We will be working diligently to seek partnerships with schools in the townships of Ondo State, Nigeria. We will work to provide scholarships for selected girls who demonstrate financial need.
Our goal is to partner with 3 schools and fund up to 100 scholarships this year.
The efforts we’ve made so far have been due to the loyalty of our Awomi Tribe. Thank you for making it easier to change the future one girl at a time.
Right now here are some ways to continue our vision:
